We’re seeking an experienced engineering learning manager to develop and execute immediate and long-term employee development programs focused on our very talented engineers. The ideal applicant will be proficient in managing events at varying scales, sourcing classroom and eLearning opportunities, and partnering with all levels of stakeholders on projects. Excellent people skills are a must.
Potential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform needs analyses with the assistance of engineering leadership across teams
- Maintain enterprise-wide awareness of technical training needs and opportunities
- Partner with discipline leadership to tap into in-house knowledge base
- Monitor industry trends and innovations to inform learning programs
- Work with external vendors to source in-person and virtual learning opportunities
- Organize and oversee summits, workshops, and other medium- to large-scale learning events
- Partner with other learning specialists for cross-discipline programs (e.g., technical art)
- Assist in maintenance of engineering education media library and eLearning accounts
- Develop various discipline curricula focused on technical and computer engineering subjects
Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ experience in learning or program management roles
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience with collaboration
- Service-oriented attitude with an eye for efficiency and workflow
Plusses
- Strong understanding of fundamental programming principles, with proficiency in one or more commonly used languages such as C++, C#, or JavaScript
- Familiarity with design and development tools across disciplines
- Comfort with learning about internal tools, particularly performance, stability, and operation; ability to assess unfamiliar systems
- Foundational understanding of pipeline structures and processes across diverse structures
- Understanding of game content pipeline and tools
- Knowledge of web content publishing skills and best practices
- Debugging skills
- Experience with LUA, Perl, Python, or other interpreted languages
- Experience with SQL databases, database design and stored procedures
- Game development background
- Ability to teach courses in fundamentals of computer science, programming concepts and methodologies
