GSN Games is looking for an Engineering Manager to help staff and run a new software engineering team in Bangalore!

What you’ll do:
Help staff a cross-functional team of up to 6 highly skilled engineers and be responsible for continuously improving the productivity of your team and the quality of the software they write. You will be expected to introduce new techniques, tools, and practices; coach and mentor the team, and to expand or rearrange the team when necessary. You will manage the workload for the team, help facilitate excellent communication between local and remote team members, and provide frequent and detailed project status updates to stakeholders.
You will:
- Line manage, grow and develop each of your team members.
- Work with local and remote team members to design and implement technology to deliver new games, apps, tools and services on top of the Unity platform, and AWS.
- Commit to high-speed iterations, high code quality, and continuous improvement via agile processes (code reviews, automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous deployment).
- Provide engineering knowledge for new and existing games, apps, tools, and services.
You will need:
- 5+ years of managing and leading a first-class engineering team of at least 4 people.
- 10+ years of combined individual contributor/leadership experience in client-side application development or backend platform technology.
- Extensive experience in reviewing resumes, conducting technical phone screens, and culturally vetting candidates that will grow into developer rock stars.
- Excellent leadership skills to mentor the engineers under you.
- Proven experience working in fast-paced, geographically distributed cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in scrum/agile teams, as well as a strong background in agile practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Deep understanding of technologies and architecture in a highly scalable and available set-up.
- Strong object-oriented design skills, and an uncanny ability to design intuitive module and class-level interfaces.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent preferred.
Bonus points!
- Experience with building Unity-based games or applications.
- Experience working on a team using kanban.
- Shipped multiple mobile applications or games on iOS and Android.
