OVERVIEW
Zynga is looking for a motivated engineer in the beautiful Eugene, Oregon area; someone who is ready to take on an internship challenge with Zynga!
We have well-rounded and tight-knit distributed teams, located in a multitude of studios across the globe, and with a healthy mix of engineering skill levels. We are looking to find new engineers, with a passion to explore the world of game development, looking to strengthen their skills working on teams and projects of varying sizes. We need self-driven, strong communicators, who work well as team players, and perform well under pressure.
In this internship role, you will have an opportunity to work on user-facing features (including UI / UX) and gameplay functionality, and will help to extend existing systems and features, with a general focus on solving challenging problems for high profile titles.

To be successful in this role you will have a passion for games, be a proactive learner, have good depth in technical skills, and a strong desire to build high quality software.
ROLE
- Feature and Gameplay Client-side Engineer
- Engineering Intern, working under a Technical Lead
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Help to develop features & gameplay functionality in Unity with C#
- Dive into existing features and systems to resolve defects and extend functionality
- Develop new tools and integrate SDKs
- Assist with defining and scoping out work
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Enrolled in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent discipline
- Experience working in C# or similar programming languages
- Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms and software methodologies
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working in a collaborative environment
ADDITIONAL SKILLS
- Experience working in game frameworks, such as Unity or Unreal
- Mobile development experience with a focus on iOS and/or Android
- Experience in C/C++, or similar programming language
- Experience with Source Control like git
The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $25 and $35 per hour.
However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
