Engine Programmer - Senior Tools specialist

The Grand Strategy Games (GSG) Tools team, works with creating new and user-friendly systems that empowers all our Game teams and enable them to develop bigger and better experiences in our Grand strategy games. The Tools team work on a variety of tools that improves the workflow for all Game team disciplines, as well as for the passionate players that are part of our Modding communities.

About the Role

As a Senior Tools Specialist you will brainstorm, help design, implement and support user-friendly and performant tools within the Clausewitz Engine, to be used by all disciplines in our Engine- and Game teams. You will be working together with other programmers, artists and several disciplines to improve their experiences with our tools and ensure that their needs are met. This means that you will be working directly with the teams developing our existing and new Grand Strategy games such as Stellaris, Crusader Kings 3 and Victoria 3.

What we’re looking for..

• Excellent understanding of modern C++
• Great ownership and responsibility skills
• Experience of developing user-friendly tools and applications
• Experience developing user interfaces and applying UX principles.
• Good profiling, debugging, and optimization skills
• Good interpersonal skills for working closely with programmers and other disciplines

• Comfortable communicating in English, both written and spoken

We also value experiences in Modding communities, and/or working with games, such as game engine development, 3D modeling applications and formats. Furthermore, we love to see Paradox members being passionate about the games we create or getting nerdy within the genre.
