Overview
Splitgate is a “Halo meets Portal" viral video game in Beta that was officially released in August by 1047 Games. We quickly became the #1 trending game on PlayStation, XBOX, and Steam before we had to limit how many users could play. In our first 6 days, we passed 1M downloads, and hit 2M within the first two weeks. We’re now at 14M+ downloads and growing.
Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the Engagement Director plays a key role within 1047 Games’ growing team. This position will be the leader of all owned channel marketing efforts for Splitgate, the viral arena shooter currently in Beta across PC and consoles. This role will drive action for current, lapsed, and potential players through constant optimization of the customer journey in concert with earned and paid efforts.

Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with our internal teams and partners to conceptualize and deliver content and programming across social, community, web, blogs, email, and in-game touchpoints.
- Drive monitoring and response to consumer engagement across channels including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Discord, Reddit, Twitch, TikTok and others as they arise.
- Lead our “surprise & delight” efforts, awarding our most engaged players and followers.
- Leverage platform data and intelligence partners to help deliver actionable reporting and insights to the entire cross-functional team.
- Keep up to date on industry best practices and provide recommendations for internal strategies. Be the driver for new platform experimentation and adoption.
- As appropriate, integrate agencies to ensure they can be seamless extensions of our team.
- Connect owned channel KPI’s to the larger business objectives through leveraging data and establishing clear benchmarks.
- Contribute to the vision and execution of the company’s in-house marketing tech stack.
- Lead, manage, and grow multiple direct reports (currently three) and make the case for further team growth, as needed.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years experience in digital marketing with a focus on social media and engaging a large community for a global brand.
- 4+ years as a people manager.
- Direct experience in web and/or email marketing is a plus.
- Specialist in developing social marketing strategies that are native to each channel and that can deliver tangible results.
- Hands-on experience driving growth on all major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Discord, Reddit, Twitch, TikTok) and driving early adoption of new ones.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and use data to inform decision making.
- Experience managing relationships with external and internal partners to brief and manage original content.
- Deep understanding of how brands should use social and community efforts authentically.
