Your Mission
As our Employee Relations (ER) Policy and Training Manager you will report directly to the VP, Employee Relations, accountable for ER across Activision Blizzard. The Policy and Training Manager role will lead the central repository of all our HR policies and train HR Business Partners, employees and managers on the content. You will work in close partnership with HR, Compliance and Legal teams to drive consistent ER processes across the organization while minimizing risk and ensuring a positive ethical workplace.
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following accountabilities:
- Support the development of clear, concise and effective HR policies and procedures by assisting ER/HR, Compliance and Legal with revision and revising current policy library to promote synthesis and alignment of policies across different businesses, ensuring more consistent practices.
- Assist with maintenance of policies, benchmarking and proactively supervising policy trends from both legal and workplace culture perspectives to ensure legal compliance and awareness of relevant trends in HR policy.
- Assist with development of standard procedures to identify required policy updates, acquire appropriate signoff from senior leaders, document revisions, advise stakeholders of changes, and communicate updates to employees.
- Serve as SME for leave and accommodation advisory critical issues and ensure accurate review and documentation of requests in partnership with Benefits.
- Be a leader with vision in terms of innovative ways to promote knowledge and understanding and compliance with relevant company policy through dynamic presentations and both live and virtual training methods for manager and non-managerial employee populations and corporate functional partners.
- Design method for ensuring routine and/or legally required training is satisfied and detail and maintain attendance and completion records.
- Assist ER/HR partners with development and implementation of performance management framework to promote good work, develop and retain talent, provide constructive feedback to lead underperformance, and appropriately document same.
- Potentially assist with other general ER Manager roles and responsibilities as needed (i.e., investigations, advisory critical issues, performance counseling, etc.)
Player Profile
- 5+ combined years of applicable HR and ER experience
- Knowledge of United States (Canada is a plus) employment laws and regulations
- Excellent written work product with experience drafting policies and training guides and presentations
- Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to drive outcomes independently and with limited supervision
- Passion for delivering trainings and connecting with diverse employee populations while welcoming and responding to session-based questions and feedback
- Proven dedication to inclusion
- Excitement to build ER COE and participate in foundational efforts
