What We Need:
The People Operations Manager facilitates and manages team member relations on behalf of the company. Designs develop and unite in the execution of specified projects and initiatives for the People Operations department.
What You Will Do:
- Leads investigations of complaints and recommends a corrective course of action
- Uses surveys, interviews, and other studies to research human resource policies, compensation, and other employment issues. Using a thorough inspection of the information makes recommendations on changes to facilitate positive team member relations and engagement
- Researches and explains laws and legal affairs concerning employment to managers, supervisors, and employees, continually identifying risks and challenges to the employment relationship
- Reduce risks by developing programs, policies, and procedures to promote fair and equitable team member relations and business decisions
- Collaborates with the legal department and outside counsel in the preparation of offboarding employees
- Identify and guide programs that foster constructive team member relations, ensuring the organizations' approach to its employees is fair, respectful, and consistent
- Evaluate and improve existing HR practices to introduce new perspectives, trends, and innovative processes
- Ensure employment policies and practices comply with relevant regional employment laws
- Design and guide training sessions and interventions to meet both the team member's needs and business objectives
- Support management in the development of employees, including coaching and mentoring
- Stay current with team member relations trends, regulations, and legal requirements
Who We Think Will Be a Great Fit:
- 4+ years prior work experience in an HR organization and well-built HR skills required
- Prior experience and understanding of California human resources principles and practices, including but not limited to wage and hour, employment law, safety, and EEO compliance
