The Employee Engagement and Events Lead
The Employee Engagement and Events Lead is a dynamic, customer service focused professional who creates extraordinary employee experiences at our Vancouver office. The Employee Engagement and Events Lead will report directly to the Workplace Experience Site Lead. You will be responsible for employee engagement, including on and offsite plus virtual Workplace Experience events, and Workplace Experience communications. You will provide support, and be a contact, for large onsite events including multi-day meetings.
As an Employee Engagement and Events Lead, you will:
- Be a lead producer of in-person and virtual employee events for EA Vancouver including research and logistics planning, venue and vendor sourcing and contract negotiation
- Develop annual event and employee engagement schedule with budget and support plan for each deliverable .
- Manage vendor database
- Develop cost estimates, track payments, and own budget for all events
- Write and design internal communications including announcements, newsletters, event notices, FAQ's and invitations
- Responsible for studio signage, specific to Workplace Experience
- Responsible for communication channels including posting and responding to comments/questions from employees
- Conduct studio tours for employees and external groups
- Contact for onsite meetings including multi-day events; offer direction,
You Will Need:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in hospitality management, marketing, business, communications, or related fields a plus (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years experience in hospitality or conference services management to include event planning, food & beverage, AV production, lighting, meeting logistics and processes
- Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe Premier and Canvas experience
- Come up with unique and engaging event plans and programs
- Experience creating employee engagement programs including offsite events for up to 3000 people
- Build community and supporting culture
- Graphic design experience; ability to write and design internal communications
- Project management skills; establish deliverables, create roadmaps, and implement on time and in budget
- Budget management skills
