Employee Engagement Administrator - Burnaby, BC

This newly created full-time permanent role will mainly support the Human Resources Department with special long-term projects and an emphasis on employee engagement, which will allow for experience and growth in many different areas of human resources. The candidate will have the responsibility to create staff events, manage internal communications to reinforce our value of creating a fun and culturally sensitive environment for our staff. The position also requires interfacing with staff to help support their ideas and help make them reality, when possible. Attention to detail and ability to work with deadlines are required. This is an opportunity to work as part of a small team and gain exposure in all facets of human resources.
Primary Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships between the various stakeholders and the Human Resources Department to create awareness and understanding of the corporate culture and Human Resources strategies.
- Organize regular surveys in order to get employees’ pulse and sentiment.
- Support staff initiatives through the coordination of Survey Focus Groups and feedback surveys.
- Co-create and execute seasonal events (in-person and virtual)
- Write internal communication on various topics and coordinate internal communication calendar.
- Championing and supporting local and global Keywords programs (Keywords Cares, Volunteer Time Off)
- Provide high-level administrative support to the Human Resources Department.
- Participate in working groups, and committees.
- Coordinate or assist with setting up orientation sessions for new hires.
- Responsible for SharePoint team site updates.
- Update internal Human Resources databases, preparing documents, and other clerical and administrative duties associated with the Human Resources department.
- Analyze regular Human Resources metric reports, update, and maintain a variety of tracking sheets with accuracy and reliability.
- Respond to employee queries about Human Resources related issues in a timely manner.
- Conduct or assist with employee exit interviews.
- Support the implementation of Human Resources programs and initiatives working with other departments.
- Perform other duties as directed.
Requirements
- Strong oral and written English communication skills.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal and customer service delivery skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
- Demonstrated ability to work proactively with tight deadlines and competing priorities.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
