At PUBG Amsterdam, our people are our most important resource. We are currently looking for an EMEA Esports Manager to join our Esports team in our brand-new Amsterdam office! The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, organized, and self-motivated person to develop and manage our esports projects and operations for Europe and MENA region. In this position, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating all esports related projects for EMEA in liaison with internal publishing departments as well as global entities. Furthermore, you will need to take responsibilities of coordinating with external esports organizers, producers, and all other related industrial parties to maximize PUBG esports impact for EMEA region in accordance with the global esports vision.
In the EMEA Esports Manager role, you will:
- Act as a permanent point of contact for all PUBG Teams and players, share information with them, gather their feedback, and be the voice of PUBG to them when needed
- Manage all PUBG Esports Team & Players related legal paperwork (Team participation agreement, Revenue share etc.) in liaison with PUBG Legal team, Head of Esports and Central Esports
- Work closely with Esports Content Coordinator and Esports Content Producer regarding team & players focused content creation, gathering and execution
- Prepare post-event reports in liaison with other stakeholders such as Content, Communications, Broadcast Partner, EMEA Esports team
- Organize, plan, and execute PUBG First party and Third-party related events in relation with the Esports Associate Manager(s), Esports Manager(s), Esports Content Coordinator, Esports Content Producer and Head of Esports
- Act as a permanent bridge between potential sponsors and the pro teams, between the press and the pro players, and/or between partners who need to setup activities involving pro players and teams
- Act as the PUBG Esports operations point of contact for EMEA, ensure global communication and synchronization between the NA (North America), Asia (Taiwan, Japan, SEA) and CN regions as well as the Krafton headquarters in Korea
- Following, testing, and learning new updates from Content, Publishing, Communication EMEA Departments as well as Central Esports and sharing it to the team
- Other duties that may be assigned by the Company and that would enter the scope of the Employee’s qualifications
Our Ideal EMEA Esports Manager will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Experience in Battle Royale background and prior experience working with pro players and organizations
- Very good understanding of PUBG Corporations “PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS” phenomenon
- Deep understanding of current PUBG Esports mechanics
- Experience in arranging competitive events online and offline
- Excellent team worker and self-motivator
- Close attention to detail and high standards of work
- Data minded and results oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Following or actively participating in the Competitive scene in gaming/sports industry
- Good understanding of the online games market
- Highly organized multitasker with endless passion even in heavy routine
- Master diplomat, providing high caliber juggling between the pros, PUBG and 3rd parties with a positive attitude
- Proven track of record arranging/executing Online and Offline events
- Good understanding of games and geek culture
- Understanding complexity under working in a globally diverse and multi-culture
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiar with PUBG
- Experience within an international environment
- Passionate gamer who understands games
- Multilingual
