What We’re Looking For:
An experienced workplace operations leader who will build and manage our real estate, facilities and workplace services operations. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience developing employee-centric strategies and building operations within fast-paced technology companies. As the Director of Workplace, you will be designing the end-to-end employee experience from driving the strategic roadmap for the real estate portfolio to creating engagement programs that will improve productivity and increase employee alignment with Skillz values. You will lead cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results on overall employee engagement.
What You Will Do :
- Build a best-in-class organization covering physical spaces, facilities management, and workplace services such as events and social/wellbeing programs.
- Develop and execute on the strategic roadmap for the real estate portfolio.
- Create a return to office strategy and then execute against that plan.
- Project manage teams from across the company to collaborate on delivering an optimal employee experience, regardless of location.
- Assist with the international expansion strategy from a facilities/ real estate perspective.
- Design and run in-person and virtual programs to promote social wellbeing for Skillz employees by fostering relationships and connections within the organization.
- Grow employee resource groups at Skillz to foster inclusivity in the workplace by tracking and measuring effectiveness of the ERGs.
- Strengthen connections among employees by use of technology and resources that promote engagement.
- Create surveys, analyze data and provide ongoing improvements in response to feedback to deliver Stakeholder Satisfaction with Workplace programs. Deliver positive ROI against these programs.
Your Skillz:
- Strategy and ops background. Ability to consult and collaborate across the organization to identify and fix the biggest organizational issues. You can drive cross-functional initiatives and hold teams accountable to KPIs, milestones and deliverables.
- People Leadership. Able to develop and manage employee engagement programs at the highest levels across workspaces (ideally across geographies/timezones) with proven results.
- Metrics-driven. Believes strongly in incorporating data into all decisions and believes in holding orgs accountable to measurable results
- Project Management. Thinks strategically and operationally to brainstorm, prioritize, project manage, implement, and measure various events and workspaces that drive employee engagement.
- Scaling Operations. Demonstrated ability in creating programs and processes that scale along with the organization and provides a consistent culture experience for employees
- 8+ years experience building and managing a portfolio of physical spaces (real estate and facilities) and workplace services for a mid- to large-sized, fast-paced tech company.
