As a Director of Technical Product Management, Game Services you will lead the product strategy and vision to define the future of critical, highly vital & technical services such as the Roblox Game Cloud & Matchmaking. This role is key to the success of the overall platform so that the Roblox Game Cloud can is highly reliable & performant while taking into the player’s enjoyment into account when it comes to matching them to the right instances.

You are:

• Product leader with BS or MS in CS or similar with 10+ years in product management with at least a few years of direct Software Engineering experience in Distributed systems.
• A Technical expert who has deep experience with cloud technologies & services that operate at high reliability under heavy load
• Passionate Architect who understands the complexity of distributed systems and management to be able to prioritize and make decisions
• Highly Analytical. Someone who has deep experience in making data-driven decisions. Know to ask the right questions and in some cases roll up your sleeves to do the analysis yourself.
• Detail oriented: Ability to see beyond the symptoms to address the product, the platform, the implementation details, and the dataset.
• Communicator: Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to convey ideas through detailed specifications and/or wireframes.
• Dynamic experience : Having worked in a fast paced environment, with competing resources and priorities, through the product life cycle from planning, development, through to launch.
• Strategic orientation coupled with an entrepreneurial attitude and an ability to contribute to product design, execution, and all things go-to-market.
• A self starter: High degree of self direction and independent drive.

You will:

• Drive the strategic and tactical efforts in building the next generation gaming grid that manages cost efficiently while maximizing player engagement
• Scale the Roblox gaming cloud and matchmaking services to the future & beyond in partnership with a world class engineering team.
• Lead a cross-functional team of passionate people to build out features and bring them live to the platform.
• Relentless customer development to discover and define the right problems and products we should be pursuing.
• Balance and prioritize new features with existing backlog initiatives and align them with the product vision.
• Communicate Studio needs and product concepts to other internal stakeholders, engineers, designers, and product team members.
• Be incredibly truth-seeking and collect all the data necessary to inform product direction whether in the form of quantitative data, customer behavior, or other market metrics.
