We are on the hunt for an entrepreneurial, data driven marketing leader to join Blizzard Entertainment as Director of Global Publishing for its award-winning mega franchise, Hearthstone!

This team leader will be agile, highly collaborative and have a track record for building impactful marketing initiatives grounded by data and insights. They will lead and develop a team of hard workers across brand marketing and community subject areas. They will work in lockstep with development leadership, and they will inspire a variety of integrated marketing teams across the company to showcase Hearthstone’s constant stream of innovation and content forged for millions of active and prospective players around the globe.

In addition to building global go-to-market plans for key game breakthroughs and driving critical business initiatives, this individual will be responsible for working closely with regional leaders to help evolve their market strategies and tactics as well as lead execution for our Global Market.

Covid-19 Hiring Update: We’re currently in a work-from-home model, and we’re continuing to interview and hire during this time. This role is expected to begin as a remote position but will transition to at least a partial in-office position based out of Irvine, CA. We understand each person’s circumstances may be unique and will work with you to explore possible interim options.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the Hearthstone brand globally, protecting it, evolving it, and refining how we communicate about it
• Build authentic and long-lasting relationships with our player base
• Partner with Publishing leaders across regions and subject teams to coordinate, develop, measure and improve global marketing strategies and implementation
• Collaborate with Product Management and Live Ops partners to advise business decisions, bring new business opportunities to market, and manage Publishing team finances
• Coordinate with our Community Partners, Public Relations, Consumer Marketing, and other field leads to ensure that we are taking a multi-disciplined approach to marketing
• Work in partnership with Consumer Marketing leads to identify unique regional needs and to help advise and inspire creative development of core marketing assets
• Analyze performance data to identify challenges and opportunities for Publishing and marketing overall
• Lead a team, mentor and develop team members, encouraging marketing standard methodologies across franchises and marketing adjacent groups, and facilitate knowledge sharing abroad
• Manage partner marketing initiatives which includes 1st party partner promotions/featuring, co-marketing deals and more

Requirements:

• 10+ years of relevant brand/product marketing experience
• Experience working with international marketing teams, evaluating, evolving and facilitating great regional execution
• Ability to work closely with game development to build effective marketing campaigns
• Ability to coordinate with Community, Public Relations and Consumer/Digital Marketing leaders to build integrated marketing initiatives
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to sell-in and champion initiatives in a highly matrixed environment
• A passion for video games!

Pluses:

• A passion and understanding of Hearthstone!
• Experience working on games-as-a-service video games
• Experience marketing mobile games and working with mobile first party partners
• Experience with performance marketing
