Director of Public Relations & Editorial

Role Description

Illuvium is currently seeking a talented and seasoned Director of PR & Editorial to plan and execute public relations and editorial strategies in crypto and gaming markets, oversee email campaigns, facilitate original written editorial content, and craft impeccable marketing copy, to position Illuvium game studio as the leader in the GameFi revolution.

About Illuvium

Illuvium Labs is an independent game development studio based in Sydney, Australia. We develop blockchain-based games for the Illuvium DAO. We have developed a strong culture of independence with our team, preferring candidates who can articulate their vision and goals. We operate almost entirely remotely, so each team member designs their hours and work schedule. In the end, all that matters is the delivered product. Responsibilities

• With Head of Marketing, develop Illuvium’s PR & Editorial strategy
• Build a robust PR contacts rolodex and develop relationships with relevant publishers
• Plan, write and deploy external communications including press releases, marketing copy and email.
• Facilitate written editorial strategy on owned & operated outlets and partner outlets
• Create and execute email strategy to maximize player retention and increase marketing conversions
• Scout and manage contracted and core contributor writers to scale editorial initiatives
• Program editorial calendar and ensure the smooth execution and release of written content
• Track and gain actionable insights from conversions, clicks, open rates, and other relevant performance analytics

Skills and Qualifications

• 5-10+ years direct experience in marketing gaming, crypto, or finance brands for domestic and international markets
• Impeccable written communication, to ensure a standard of excellent, eloquent copy
• Strong creative vision and a passion for generating tangible marketing results through written content
• Highly driven leader that thrives is a fast paced “startup” like environment
