Overview
Arkadium is seeking a collaborative and solutions-oriented Director of Project Management to lead our team. This is an exciting opportunity to manage high impact projects, report to our CEO and drive our strategic initiatives forward. This position is based in New York, but will remain remote until Fall 2021. If you do not live in the New York Metropolitan Area, you will be required to travel to NY at least once per quarter.
Responsibilities:
- Directly manage a medium sized team of project managers and game producers, coaching, encouraging and inspiring their growth and abilities
- Facilitate communication between product teams, product owners and stakeholders
- Plan and consistently deliver against project schedules, communicate milestones, identify production risks or constraints, and troubleshoot dependencies
- Deliver project status updates with key metrics to the company's management team regularly
- Actively optimize and improve software production processes by introducing best practices and tools to drive teams’ efficiency
- Stay aware of industry standards, both in terms of methodology and quality
- Work closely with management and our SVP, People Innovation to resource plan multiple quarters in advance
- Facilitate discussion of project milestones between the development team, Product Owner and key stakeholders
- Track the development speed against Product roadmaps to ensure that team is hitting the target milestones
- Cultivate relationships with key partners at the organization to enable efficient development and coordination of projects
Requirements
- 8+ years of project/team management in creative, tech or games
- 3+ years management experience
- Exceptional, off the charts communication skills - clear, concise, positive
- Fun to work with, energetic, trustworthy and inspiring
- Deep knowledge of Agile/Scrum, Kanban and ability to apply it
- Experience with task trackers, enterprise-level software management tools - ADO experience a plus
- Experience working in an internationally distributed multicultural company
- Ability to organize thoughts and deliver them both verbally and in writing in a way that is understandable both to technical and non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work with others in pursuit of a common goal
- Solutions oriented leader with a track record of inspiring teams towards success
