Director of Product, Synapse

The Director of Product, Synapse leads product management for the Synapse games portfolio. This position will coordinate with production, analytics, and marketing teams to qualify and then optimize games created by the Synapse Games studio. The principal business outcome for this position is to optimize our current and future portfolio titles, collaborating with marketing to drive significant traffic and driving revenue across many platforms.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
- Lead the evaluation and optimization of existing free-to-play portfolio titles
- Drive future title plan and development strategy
- Run game deconstructs and other industry market research
- Help build predictive business models for current and future titles
- Create feature specifications, designs and documentation
- Collaborate with marketing team on user acquisition and marketing efforts to drive title and platform growth and retention
- Champion analytical and metrics-driven best practices and procedures
- Define team objectives, strategy and processes for maximizing business results
- Recruit, lead and mentor the games team
- Work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment
- Communicate with licensors on IP titles to address production and marketing needs
- Work effectively in a collaborative environment with demanding, potentially overlapping project priorities

QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 5 years experience, 8+ years preferred in free-to-play game-focused product management
- Bachelor’s degree required; accredited business, engineering or quantitative-based program preferred
- Expert understanding of mobile game platforms, mobile game design best practices and product methodologies and roadmapping
- Proficient knowledge of all aspects of product management, from deep product analytics and platform design, through roadmap feature management and user acquisition best practices.
- Practical knowledge of user acquisition techniques for mobile platforms
- Demonstrable experience operating game teams and game development best practices (like agile methodologies, scheduling, source control, bug management, live game ops, etc.)
- Proficient analytical orientation, including the ability to collect, organize, interpret, and report large amounts of data
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others; conducts working relationships in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization
