Discord is seeking, looking, near and far, for a Director of Product Marketing to define and execute a strategic vision for the Discord platform as we continue our odyssey into the sea of gaming. We need someone to help steer our metaphorical boat. It’s got lots of rubber ducks!
What you'll be doing
- Leading our Product Marketing, User Acquisition, and Influencer Marketing teams.
- Working closely with our community, events, partnerships and business development teams to execute our vision and identify ways to collaborate across teams to drive top of funnel growth.
- Drive and manage top of funnel user growth at scale while collaborating with the product teams to improve the overall user funnel in Discord.
- Managing a team of 2 Sr. Managers with teams of 1-3 each and 2 Product Marketing Managers to develop and execute your strategy.
What you should have
- A love for gaming, communities, and connecting people around shared experiences.
- Working knowledge of the gaming space, trends, and segments.
- Ability to mentor and recruit best-in-class talent as the company's needs evolve.
- Expertise in taking an analytical approach to problem-solving and scaling growth focusing on customers first.
- 5-10 years experience as a strong marketing leader driving collaboration and stakeholder management.
- Demonstrated abilities as a strategic leader with a deep understanding of organizational effectiveness and a champion of efficiency.
- High energy and motivation driven by personal influence and example with direct staff, peers, and senior leaders.
- Expertise across Product Marketing, Traditional User Acquisition, Influencer Marketing and Product Management.
- High emotional intelligence and empathy.
Bonus Points
- Experience with international marketing.
- Experience in marketing consumer platforms in Gaming.
- Experience working closely with or managing creative teams.
- Program Management expertise.
- Experience working in fast-paced Start-up environments.
