We’re looking for a Director of Product Management

As the Director of Product Management for our Core Systems team, you will partner with engineering, program management, and technical leaders to guide the development of the technologies at the heart of the Frostbite engine. This includes our foundation libraries, platform abstraction, core engine systems, as well as higher-level systems for composing objects and scripting gameplay. Reporting to the head of product management, you will lead a global team of product managers with the goal of maximizing the value of our investments in the core systems.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the Frostbite team, EA's game teams, and external partners to create the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for the core systems in Frostbite
• Communicate the strategy to the user community, game team partners, and senior leaders across EA
• Prioritize the objective and initiative backlogs to maximize the value of our work for EA
• Engage with the Frostbite team and help to coordinate and align development in other areas of the engine to our core engine goals
• Perform analysis of competing game engine technologies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science / engineering or relevant experience in game development or a related field
• Collaborative leader who enjoys working in a complex, and iterative environment
• People management experience leading at least a small team
• Experience with game engine development or similar technologies
• Experience working with both highly technical and creative user communities

Desirable skills

• Knowledge of core game engine systems such as memory management, file I/O, threading and job scheduling entity component systems, scripting, etc.
• Experience with Frostbite
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Knowledge of general product management practices and techniques
• Occasional international travel may be required
