About the Company

One More Game is an early-stage, venture-funded game company that supports flexible working schedules and fully-remote work. We believe creating outstanding games has more to do with building an extraordinary team than any other factor.

Our development philosophy is focused on sustaining developer happiness, maximizing iteration speed, and learning from player feedback. We know from experience it is sensible to ship games without crunch-time and have done so successfully.

Our team is composed of veteran developers with key contributions to the development of Warcraft, Diablo, StarCraft, Guild Wars and Magic: Arena. We seek team members who are enjoyable to work with and who will enhance our efforts, as we believe creating great games is a group endeavor made better with trust between teammates.

We aim to build games that will be cultural touchstones, the measure by which other games are judged. We seek remarkable people to join our team, and offer a comprehensive compensation package.

Role Description

We strive for players to have great experiences playing our games, using our services, and interacting with our team, so we're looking for someone who sincerely cares about players to take the role of Director of Player Experience at One More Game.

In this role you'll be responsible for guiding our company's efforts to support players in their endeavors, defining the processes we'll use to interact with players, hiring and training team members, and using player feedback and community response to provide direction in every aspect of our company's development and publishing efforts to maximize the enjoyment of each player.

As Director of Player Experience, you will oversee all aspects of our player experience. You’ll lead the effort to define, design and build the player journey along with the teams, tools, systems, platform, and partnerships that support the player journey. You will manage all aspects of our customer support, web development, and billing organizations; manage operating budgets; create and track KPIs for service-quality goals; select and manage external vendors; collaborate with our development and publishing teams to improve the player journey; and work with external publishing groups to improve their consumer experience.

You'll aim to understand where players have the most challenging issues by assessing their experiences. You'll evaluate our efforts and develop proposals to improve the quality of our products, services and interactions; and you'll coordinate with teammates to prioritize efforts to improve player experiences.

Our company aims to self-publish in Northern America and Western Europe, and will work with publishing partners in other regions, so expertise in managing globally-available teams & services, and working with external organizations to assist their efforts, are essential skills for this role.

To be effective in this role you'll have several years of experience in leadership role(s) in areas related to the player journey; expertise in recruiting and training teams; experience in budget management; and experience working with globally distributed teams.
