ABOUT THE ROLE
- Partner with the Head of Product Operations to support and nurture the creative culture within Fortis.
- Accountable for the strategy and success of the training, coaching and mentoring programs for our Art talent pool.
- Lead the facilitation of the international learning and virtual development programs and model outcomes that can inspire other parts of the organization.
- Construct and implement craft specific career development, onboarding, upskilling & re-skilling, skill development and/or performance coaching.
- Be a driving force in the collaboration with Recruiting in the effort to find, interview and welcome talent into the organization.
- Partner with the People Team to align efforts to any and all global programs.
WHAT YOU’LL ACHIEVE
- Build a highly effective and engaged creative talent pool who push themselves and one another to their fullest potential.
- Lead studio-level initiatives to constantly identify, improve and standardize best practices that support innovation across our game teams.
- Work with Art leadership to map our development philosophy and identify necessary adaptations to our product / content pipeline, whether that be resource challenges, time constraints, technical hurdles, or quality–and help find solutions to the problems.
- Forge relationships with cross-discipline partners including the executive team, leading studio updates and report-outs of L&D program health and Art organization engagement metrics.
- Consider and solve for the best outcome of a remote first culture for the team.
- Partner with internal and external Development Teams, supporting functions (i.e. Central Tech, Product Intelligence and QA) and Publishing leadership.
- Design and create documentation, dashboards and processes to enable information flow across the organization on development status, key dates and requests for resources.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- Proven track record of managing and coaching a team of program and project managers in a production environment
- Expertise and experience in scaling learning and development programs, and ability to mentor those pursuing game development careers and leadership
- A passion to advocate for the growth opportunities for individuals but with fairness and objectivity that represents and is aligned with business needs
- Not only self-directed; but able to organize for others and delegate effectively
- Propensity to thrive in a direct feedback culture that pushes towards excellence while demonstrating empathy and support
- A bias toward action and problem solving in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to present and push ideas in a thought process organization; excellent logic, written and verbal skills and confidence to work well with any level of the organization
- Deep knowledge of game development across various genres from casual to core; comprehension of game development pipeline and range of Art roles and responsibilities.
- Experience supporting or actively working on projects through all phases of development–business case / pre-production to launch / post-launch management; has worked on content development / release and live operations through a product lifecycle
