PUBG Corp. is the developer and publisher of the blockbuster Battle Royale video game, PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS (PUBG). Since its release, PUBG has received worldwide acclaim, selling tens of millions of copies and winning multiple game awards worldwide. Headquartered in Korea, PUBG Corp. has six operational offices globally across North America, Europe, Japan, China, and South East Asia.
We are looking for a Director of Marketing to help us develop and execute marketing campaigns. Ideally you are an enthusiastic, creative and self-motivated person with outstanding communication skills and eager to help PUBG reach its highest potential in the Americas. You will need experience working in the gaming industry and possess a background in product marketing, digital marketing and brand strategy. You will be responsible for defining the long-term brand strategy, brand identity and regional marketing integration that ensures consistency in messaging across all media platforms. You will collaborate with multiple internal teams ensuring alignment with development schedules and our regional marketing goals and initiatives. You thrive in a dynamic, global environment and possess a mindset that places the fan first. You understand how to build marketing and communication strategies to ensure long-term engagement.
Responsibilities
- Lead go-to-market planning and tactical execution for PUBG in the Americas
- Work closely with functional teams in publishing, development, creative services and Esports
- Develop, deploy and coordinate the execution of marketing campaigns with regional agencies
- Deeply understand PUBG central strategies and apply them for the creation of regional tactics
- Ensure consistent ‘on brand’ messaging and clear communications across all marketing materials
- Coordinate in person marketing activities such as trade shows, gaming expos and conferences
- Develop strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies and vendors
Requirements
- A minimum of 14 years’ experience, 8+ years of experience in the gaming industry – AAA gaming franchise experience heavily preferred
- Experience working and managing external agency and partner relationships
- Strategic thinker with a background in managing complex global marketing campaigns
- University level degree in marketing, communications preferred, in addition to experience
- Use performance data, including sales and in-game data, to identify opportunities and create marketing strategies/tactics to drive positive results
- Experience in business intelligence systems or stat tracking tools
- Proven track record of excellent leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as excellent time-management skills
