At Roblox, we deeply respect the work that law enforcement agencies do around the globe to promote public safety. As Director of Law Enforcement Outreach, you will be a key member of a critical public affairs function, helping to build and scale our relationships with these organizations. You will work directly with the Senior Director, State Strategy and Law Enforcement Outreach to serve as a key liaison to strategic law enforcement agencies globally. As part of this position, you should expect to travel regularly to promote positive relationships and take part in important dialogues about online safety.

You Will:
- Advance Roblox public policy priorities globally with key audiences including law enforcement officials, policymakers, non-profits, and others;
- Work closely with relevant teams across the company to develop key partnerships between Roblox and strategic law enforcement agencies with a focus on Internet safety and security;
- Partner with our public policy programs team to develop proactive outreach programs with the goal of raising awareness about Roblox’s processes, policies, and dedication to community safety;
- Lead all aspects of submissions of emergency data disclosure requests, other requests relating to data, and be a thought leader when it comes to developing policies for protecting people’s privacy and responding to legal requests;
- Support child safety and emergency response efforts by developing law enforcement engagement processes and developing relationships between law enforcement and internal partners.;
- Collaborate with our legal team to analyze governmental requests for data.
You have:
- 10-15 years experience working or engaging with law enforcement authorities at an international level;
- A law enforcement or other government investigator background, especially in cybercrime investigations, and experience in business administration or program management would be an added advantage
- Significant, relevant work experience in the safety/security field, and/or as an analyst or investigator with a safety, law enforcement, or security focus;
- Experience with global privacy laws, regulations, and industry guidelines, especially those relevant for social media and Internet companies;
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills;
- You treat everyone like a client, no matter how important they appear to be, and take a collaborative, team-centered, solutions-oriented approach to working (read: no drama!);
- Excellent project management, writing, and communication skills;
- Available to travel globally with some regularity
- Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
Annual Salary Range
$276,420 — $329,220 USD
Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
