Job Description
Torn Banner Studios are looking for an experienced Director of Human Resources with exceptional communication skills and the ability to lead in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate would have a keen interest in building out and improving HR practices and procedures for a growing company. As Director of HR, you will be the main contact for all HR-related needs and responsible for a wide range of tasks.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership in all matters relating to Human Resources
- Oversee day-to-day Human Resource responsibilities.
- Plan, develop, and implement Human Resource Initiatives.
- Manage, organize, and coordinate onboarding, reviews, and offboarding.
- Foster a strong company culture and work with the team to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
- Create, update and improve company policies, procedures, and programs.
- Develop and oversee training and development programs for the team.
- Provide expertise to improve the recruitment/hiring process.
- Collaborate closely with team members from other departments as well as external stakeholders.
Qualifications
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in an HR leadership position.
- Experience designing and implementing new HR initiatives, policies, and procedures.
- Experience leading a small-medium size company through a period of growth.
- High level of proficiency with Google Suite, Slack, and Cloud-based systems.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
- High degree of self-motivation and initiative-taking.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage highly confidential information.
- Friendly and professional demeanor and embraces a collaborative culture.
- Willingness to work in Toronto is preferred, but fully remote opportunities are available.
