Who We Are:
2K has been a major console and PC game developer and publisher for several console generations and is known for bringing amazing IP to the market, including some of today’s most well-known and critically acclaimed franchises like: NBA 2K, Borderlands, WWE 2K, Bioshock, Mafia, XCOM and Sid Meier’s Civilization.
What We Need:
As our Director of Finance & Accounting you will serve as a key interface between Finance and the rest of the business and you will be responsible for the day to day operations of the 2K Finance team. Reporting to our Sr. Director, this is a highly visible role where you will support the preparation, presentation and analysis of actual results and forecasts to the Executive team.
What You Will Do:
- Lead and oversee the 2K Finance functions including resource management, process management and timely and accurate financial reporting to key stakeholders.
- Ensure efficient, effective execution of day to day transactions as well as compliance with the company's financial control policies. (Invoices and POs)
- Lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end close process and manage preparation of financial results to stakeholders
- Take ownership for overall outcomes and actively participate in various daily and month-end accounting functions/tasks
- Lead, mentor, coach and develop 2K Finance team to reach team and individual goals and help achieve our vision, and implement/evolve processes as needed.
- Work with department leaders to develop annual budgets, and provide ongoing expense related analysis and support
- Develop, implement and maintain communication packages to present financial results, recommendations and solutions.
- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
- Drive planning, analysis, coordination and consolidation of the monthly forecast and annual budget with business partners
- Develop a proficiency in and a business understanding of all of 2K’s financial systems and data sources and an understanding and working knowledge of 2K financial processes, accounting principles and internal controls
- Identify areas for and implement process improvement and automation
Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a Business related field
- CPA strongly preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in comparable business environment preferred
- Advanced skills in Excel. Strongly proficient skills in other Office applications including Word and PowerPoint
- Strong experience with Hyperion/Essbase planning systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to influence and convince others
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with flexibility to work across different tasks
- Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude
- Must be able to think strategically and possess a detail-oriented, hands-on approach to managing business projects
- Flexibility and adaptability to shifting needs, evolving priorities and urgent situations that arise
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from all levels within the organization
