The role is responsible for achieving Aristocrat’s objectives and strategies for Class II Commercial Finance by supporting the SVP Finance, Commercial Finance Americas and EMEA along with serving as a business partner to the Class II Commercial Team. This role ensures all core financial processes for Class II are maintained and provides reporting, analysis, forecasting and budgeting for the team and Corporate Finance.What You'll Do
- Responsible for Class II spend across multiple time horizons: three-year roadmap, annual plan, LEs and monthly actuals.
- Provides senior level financial, strategic and operational management, insights, and guidance to the business. Create performance dashboards and ROI models that monitor these investments. Foster the need for continuous improvement.
- Direct point of contact and partner with key functions and stakeholders, including the President of Class II, VP of Sales, and SVP of Finance to support the organization in achieving its financial objectives through accurate and timely analysis, reporting, and innovative strategic initiatives
- Work with 2 direct reports (Sr. Financial Analyst and Financial Analyst), to make certain business benefits are delivered. Ensure timely and accurate reporting. And simplify of existing business processes.
- Any other ad hoc projects as they arise.
- Develop a multi-year financial forecast that interlocks commercial priorities to a 3-year product development roadmap. Manage the portfolio to deliver Cost to Revenue targets.
- Partner with key stakeholders in the evaluation of business cases for identified commercial opportunities. Work cross functionally to determine when key assumptions have changed, and further leadership dialogue is needed.
- Lead the finance Class II team in producing timely and accurate management reporting, trend analysis and commentary on Class II.
- Ensure proper accounting rules are followed for capitalization of intangible assets, that capex is well controlled and balance sheet reconciliations are conducted monthly.
- The role also is a key player in the use of data to drive decision making. Whether for performance based bonuses, standard game costs, other insight building initiatives.
- This role will also be a thought leader in future Gaming Finance data and analytics initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- CA/CPA qualified
- MBA preferred
- Understanding of Finance Systems. Gaming industry preferred, but not required.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Planner and Outlook. Goal Seek, Crystal Ball, Python, R, Solver preferred by not required.
- At least 15 years’ experience in Financial / Accounting roles (proven proficiency in project accounting / reporting).
- Experience in managing multiple stakeholders, across multiple (including global) locations. Must have worked in large, multi-layered organizations.
- Investment analysis & modelling of business cases
- Track record of process improvement initiatives.
- Excellent business acumen, with the ability to lead discussions with executives to obtain key decisions.
- Excellent change management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, dynamic matrixed environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail/deadline orientated with effective organizational, analytical and documentation skills.
- Effective problem solving, process improvement and analytical skills.
- High degree of problem solving, advanced analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Able to see the big picture as well as dive into the details when required
