Roblox is looking for a Director of Compensation reporting to the VP of Total Rewards. You are responsible for leading the broad-based compensation team to ensure Roblox's compensation is competitive, meaningful, performance-oriented, clearly communicated, and aligned with our priorities. You will deliver a portfolio of programs and services that inspire our employees to do and bring their best.
Responsibilities:
- Innovate and lead the design, implementation, administration and legislative compliance of company-wide compensation strategies, policies and processes.
- Continuously assesses market practices, trends, and regulatory environments related to compensation program design and delivery and integrates these elements into us programs as appropriate.
- Oversee all broad-based compensation activities: new hire offers, recruiting data trends, promotions, transfers, international employees/contractors, compensation cycle management, incentive comp design etc.
- Partners with business and human resources leadership to develop compensation strategies to meet our business objectives; ensures that strategies, policies, processes, and reporting practices comply with corporate governance practices and legislative requirements.
- Create a culture of continuous analytics and monitoring of current programs to align with strategic priorities and talent needs so that compensation is part of the proposition that can attract, engage, and retain top talent.
- Monitor the competitiveness of compensation through continuous job evaluation, benchmarking, participation in market data surveys, maintaining relationships with third-party consultants, partnering with Talent Acquisition, and the assessment of geographic differentials.
- Lead work on developing a formal job architecture and systematic job leveling approach that enables us to better support hiring, career growth, job evaluation ultimately leading to competition compensation.
- Collaborate with Finance to ensure appropriate budgets are set for compensation programs.
Qualifications:
- At least 15 years of corporate and/or consulting compensation experience with some exposure to technical/digital profiles, showing progression and leadership
- Expertise in different compensation models, structure, and vehicles
- Knowledge of industry trends and developments in compensation, including relevant legal issues
- Familiarity with several benchmarking surveys and approaches and job evaluation
- You are detail driven with emphasis on accuracy, coupled with an ability to see the broader picture
- You operate with limited instructions and can collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Ability to effectively lead and develop a small team of compensation professionals
- Ability to travel as needed
