Join us as our Director of Brand Marketing in Manchester, where you will own Brand Management for both Star Citizen and Squadron 42. Help us in revolutionizing the games industry and reviving genres. Be a part of making the next standard-bearer in MMOs and taking high-fidelity online games to the next level of immersion, scale, and ambition. You’ll be driving the “Go to Market” launches and promotions with your team, working on ongoing plans for Star Citizen and creating a full brand plan for Squadron 42 (Currently being developed).
Work on building omnichannel marketing campaigns for multiple patch and content launches throughout quarter and the year that expand the reach of Star Citizen through organic and paid channels. Whilst, driving the relentless optimization of player conversion and engagement, taking care to ensure all activations are consistent with a customer-centric approach that is authentic to the brand and the values of the player community.

Responsibilities
- Own Brand Management for Star Citizen and Squadron 42
- Be responsible for long-term portfolio planning, foundational marketing strategy, launch execution, and ongoing marketing optimization
- Lead a team of Brand Managers, who are responsible for driving “go to market” launches and promotions, and maintaining ongoing marketing plans for Star Citizen, which is currently in live service, and creating a full brand plan for Squadron 42, currently in development
- Direct ideation, creation, and execution of marketing campaigns and product launches, including product positioning, value proposition creation, “go to market” planning, and tactical execution and oversight of marketing plans
- Assume responsibility and oversight for marketing campaigns and promotions with the explicit goal of enhancing and supporting player acquisition, engagement, and retention
- Influence and contribute to CRM, social, PR, and user acquisition marketing. Be able to provide high-level direction to these disciplines and contribute feedback and direction to optimize plans and align them with high-level brand goals
- Provide brand guidance and business leadership to sales and growth in the areas of monetization, organic growth, paid UA, and conversion optimization
- Drive the relentless optimization of player conversion and engagement, taking care to ensure all activations are consistent with a customer-centric approach that is authentic to the brand and the values of the player community
- Collaborate regularly with game development to ensure player feedback and business needs are accounted for in the development roadmap; be the main point of contact and liaison to development for all marketing activities
- Develop and maintain relationships with 3 rd party partners for co-marketing and partnership marketing planning and execution in collaboration with business development
- Be a leader within the organization and a change agent to implement and drive best practices for acquiring, engaging, and retaining users while lifting brand awareness and brand loyalty
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experiencing in brand management, go to market campaign building, launching new IP, and working within a consumer brand marketing function
- 5+ years of senior leadership experience managing a multi-discipline, geo-distributed team
- 5+ years of experience in the gaming industry, preferably with high-end console and PC experience
- Experience launching AAA, top tier gaming IP at a global scale
- Experience launching or marketing for an ongoing live service or MMO game
- Experience directing 8-figure and higher marketing budgets
- Excellent project management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written; Must be an excellent storyteller
- Experience leading or influencing all aspects of omnichannel, global, high-scale marketing campaigns, including UA, media buying, asset development, partnership marketing, 1 st party marketing, public relations, influencer marketing, social media, Out of Home, experiential, linear TV, streaming, OTT, retail, channel marketing
- Must be comfortable leading and making decisions despite ambiguity and be able to justify those decisions with well-reasoned, customer-centric strategy and intentions
- Analytical mindset that understands the place of data in driving key decisions for optimal business, product, and community outcomes
- Energetic and adaptable – must embrace working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and fluid environment
