Director of Applications

POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Applications will partner with senior level business leaders to drive the development and execution of a strategic portfolio of programs to achieve their business goals. Main responsibility and focus will be Finance support.
Flexible, Remote and Work From Home options are available for this position until approximately April 2022. Afterwards we expect all employee's to join us at our new offices in Irvine, California where a hybrid work schedule will be observed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for architecture, design, implement and support of company’s enterprise applications, data warehouse and BI/reporting solutions
- Work with business teams to adopt appropriate technologies/solutions to accommodate new or existing business requirements.
- Implement applications and data solutions with key stakeholders, actively participate in project planning and solution design, to ensure deliverables meeting business needs and alignment to enterprise standards
- Define scope of work of projects and manage expectations with business users as well as implementation teams.
- Manage applications team, consultants, and vendors to ensure assigned tasks are executed per project plans.
- Evaluate solutions and technologies, work with internal teams or external vendors to determine approaches, deliverable timeline, required resources and implementation budget
- Provide feedback and updates on applications projects, drive results, own the portfolio of projects, and lead projects to achieve desired goals and benefits aligned to planned timelines and budgets
- Ensure data quality meeting Completeness and Accuracy requirements of Finance and JSOX audits
- Govern applications to meet Finance/JSOX audit requirements and data compliances of GDPR, CCPA and PCI DSS
- Provide leadership and establish a culture that continuously strives towards best practice and solutions excellence
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
At least a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related field.
An additional degree in a business field is beneficial
- Combined 10+ years of experience in the following areas: Finance Transformation, ERP implementation and maintenance ; custom software design and development; leading a portfolio of projects to success; creating partnerships with senior business stakeholders; determining solutions to help scale business operations; identify opportunities to scale operations and “sell” them to business stakeholders
- Experience driving and guiding a technology transformation of Finance
- Has experience delivering critical products and mission-critical services in a leadership role in IT. Has a proven record of overcoming crises and leading teams through difficult situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an engaging personality. A proven ability to effectively interface with a diverse range of roles at all levels
- Strong leadership skills. Able to influence, guide and convince
