Your Mission
The Ethics & Compliance team at Activision Blizzard is growing fast to support the company’s commitment to an inclusive, safe, inspiring and equitable culture that is respectful to all. The Director, Workplace Investigations will build out a team to manage critical workplace investigations that are crisis-oriented and time sensitive, and act as a role model to preventing workplace misconduct.
The Director, Workplace Investigations will report to Senior Director, Ethics & Compliance Investigations. Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Build out and develop a high-performing workplace investigation team.
- Enhance and improve the company’s investigation strategies and processes to prioritize employee support.
- Manage end-to-end investigative processes for employee complaints and resolve conflicts, compliance, and sensitive work-related issues, including intake meetings, initial assessment, investigative interviews, document review and report drafting.
- Advise appropriate remedial action to be taken as a result of workplace investigations.
- Analyze workplace investigation trend and advise the company on the risk metrics.
- Deliver and support training relating to workplace investigations and compliance.
Player Profile
- Minimum of seven years of relevant experience in workspace investigation and/or employment relations.
- Experience of recruiting, managing and developing best-in-class teams preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of global employment laws and regulations and the ability to appropriately spot employment risks and issues.
- Ability to use analytical skills to efficiently distill relevant information.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, while balancing acting with a sense of
urgency and need for attention to detail. - Business and people acumen and knowledge of HR frameworks and models.
- Ability to gain trust from all levels of the organization and manage difficult conversations.
- Exceptional writing and communications skills, with a demonstrated ability to provide direct feedback and persuasively convey recommendations.
- Intellectual curiosity and commitment to learning.
Education
Undergraduate degree required. Law degree preferred but not required
