Job Description
Magic Leap is seeking an experienced Director of Product Marketing to join our fast-growing and innovative team. This individual will bring a customer perspective to all programs and processes across the company. You are a strategic problem solver with excellent cross-functional collaboration and influence management skills. You have proven analytic skills, keen attention to detail and ability to overcome obstacles. We’re looking for a motivated, hands-on, self-starter who is comfortable wearing multiple hats and thrives in a dynamic environment. You are flexible, highly-adaptable, and able to think on your feet. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a requirement.
Responsibilities
- Lead product feature launches (internal and external training and communications, value proposition, campaigns)
- Drive Sales Enablement: product training materials, win/loss data management, prioritization of sales collateral creation
- Develop and manage market segmentation, messaging and positioning - Persona creation/evolution
- Deliver and monitor market feedback to product management
- Ensure features testing strategies align with customer needs
- Work cross-functionally across business, product, engineering, and design to represent the voice of key customers and partners, aggregating feedback, synthesizing insights and identifying opportunities as part of a product strategy and planning function
- Develop, own and iterate the stakeholder research strategy and processes, ensuring alignment to overall Magic Leap corporate strategy that supports a continuous cycle of listening, interpreting, monitoring and action-oriented problems solving by building and leading the Voice of the Customer (VoC) team .
Qualifications
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience in product management and growth (i.e., growth hacking, acquisition, retention, customer lifecycle, subscriptions, user experience, and optimization)
- Proven track record building an inspired cross-functional growth in consumer-oriented organizations
- True passion for leading a team and growing product marketing managers.
- Exceptional people manager with ability to recruit and retain top talent including developing other people.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments; excited about figuring out solutions to complex problems and executing on them.
- Analytical mindset and a data-driven approach to problem solving.
- Exceptional problem solving across a variety of business challenges both marketing, operations and technical arenas.
- Great EQ and collaborative communication skills across diverse audiences, ability to influence and drive change through others including senior executives.
- Be a risk taker and willing to question the status quo.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, matrix environment, deal with ambiguity, and create clarity for people and teams.
- Ability to communicate complex business issues in a straightforward and precise way, cutting through extraneous details to highlight the real root cause of business issues and identify potential solutions.
Education
- Background in industrial design, business, psychology, strategy, marketing, product management, strategic design, information systems or another relevant field
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University in a related field
- Master’s Degree preferred
