Director/Sr. Director of Product Marketing - Metaverse

We are looking for a resourceful and experienced marketing leader to help drive product marketing and player acquisition for Core. You will develop the plans, oversee the campaigns, and take part in the execution of all activities to bring new players to the platform and re-acquire lapsed players. As part of this you will develop targeting, positioning, messaging, and creative, manage promotions and events. You will also oversee the development and management of paid UA programs across all channels. You will take an active part in all branding, market research, PR, social, community, and influencer marketing activities. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Marketing. Our headquarters are located in San Mateo, CA but this role can be fully remote.
Responsibilities
- Lead consistent communications for the player marketing team’s plans and key beats throughout the year, ensuring alignment with key stakeholders
- Assist in development and execution of product positioning and Core branding strategies
- Be an expert on the crypto market, latest trends, and competition to identify opportunities for the growth of the Core Metaverse
- Oversee consumer events, influencer marketing, and social media marketing
- Develop, execute, and optimize Core’s user acquisition strategy across all channels, with a focus on PC and mobile as well any other future platforms
- Manage Core’s retention, engagement, and reengagement campaigns
- Create new marketing content (videos, blogs, etc.) to support acquisition and retention activities
- Propose and deploy the overall marketing and user acquisition budget
- Measure the effectiveness of brand, influencers and consumer marketing initiatives and develop insights to optimize campaigns, make recommendations, and track against KPIs
- Create and direct market, competitive, and user research
- Work closely with Developer Relations, Product Management, PR, Community Management, and Finance teams
- Lead, develop and grow an effective team structure
Requirements
- 8+ years of game marketing experience, ideally with MMOs, virtual worlds, and social simulations, with increasing levels of responsibility including campaign management
- 2+ years of web3 marketing experience including crypto, blockchain, NFT launches, and token-based systems
- Experience in developing and executing go-to-market strategies on both PC and mobile platforms
- Proven track record of successfully managing multichannel marketing campaigns, with emphasis on user acquisition and performance marketing efforts
- Knowledge of social media and influencer marketing
- Experience managing both internal team members and external vendors for timely, high quality marketing assets
- Experience in collecting and analyzing customer data to craft messaging
- Experience in developing the creation of high-quality marketing materials (trailers, art assets, websites, etc), including managing team members and vendors
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, advertising, communications, a related field, or equivalent experience
