Director, Sales Innovation & Strategic ExecutionSummary
The Director, Sales Innovation & Strategic Execution will support the North American sales organization through the practical identification and assessment of business opportunities and drives the implementation, and execution of strategic projects and innovation that tie directly to and supports the delivery of the sales organization’s strategic plan.What You'll Do
- Reporting into the Vice President, Business Development & Sales Operations, you will lead the practical identification, implementation and execution of business opportunities and innovation from the sales’ strategic plan.
- The areas and related responsibilities are as follows:
Business Development and Opportunity Exploration
- Lead data, research and intelligence gathering that help explore business opportunities
- Identify and develop feasible business opportunities based on gathered data and research, market assessments, exploration, industry trends, world events and customer input
- Focus on adjacent NA markets and set priorities / focus for business development
- Explore other markets for quick wins and strategic opportunities
- Help shape customer, product, and market strategy
Drive innovation
- Drive innovation in services, products and systems based on strategic direction, identified current opportunities, and expected future trends
- Provide input for product development and portfolio for adjacent / new markets based on identified customer / market needs
Business Planning
- Identify, develop, align, and provide business cases for actionable projects / initiatives from the sales’ strategic plan, laid out in 1-, 3- and 5-year roadmap
- Engage with areas to create the actual plans based on their expertise and experience
- Lead business case development for identified initiatives
- Develop and report upon key value drivers and KPIs for business development projects and opportunities to measure success, performance, progress
Market Insights & Analytics
- Work with the data science and research teams to gain insights, customer feedback and data to help build and validate business cases, do research, and measure successes
- Assess whether projects/initiatives will help achieve to strategic objectives (forecast/measure/track)
- Drive sales market exploration and insights
- Ensure customer feedback is captured, communicated, and support the markets we exist in and aspire to enter
Risk Management
- Identify risks as a key part of strategic business planning by comprehensively analyzing the company's specific business development activities.
- Determine and manage risks of existing business opportunities, work on implementing processes for risk mitigation / acceptance
- Assess risk of potential business opportunities and determine mitigations and impacts
- Ensure risk management is executed within boundaries of organizational risk appetite
Collaboration and communication
- Collaborate with both the VP, Business Development & Sales Operations and the Director, Strategic Initiatives – Game Sales on determining focus and strategic objectives
- Interact with all levels of the organization to gain input and alignment on Business planning and objectives
- Ensure buy-in of plan with all levels of the area
- Share insights & business plan with all internal groups to help support sales’ strategic objectives
What We're Looking For
- Extensive gaming industry experience and market knowledge.
- Demonstrated competency in identification of business opportunities, markets, innovation needs.
- Proven success in business case development, presentation, and measurement.
- Adept at supporting strategy with data science and research to gain insights, help build and validate business cases and measure success.
- Experienced with risk identification and mitigation.
- Demonstrated experience with the implementation and execution of strategic and operational deliverables.
- Successful collaborator and communicator across cross functional teams and senior/executive audiences.
