The role of Director, Real Estate Project Management, is an important role in the company’s Enterprise Project Management Office, and requires experience and expertise in project management, and real estate.
Experience must include hand’s-on management of projects as well as capability related to the management of concurrent real estate initiatives.
The Director, Real Estate Project Management will report to the Vice President of the Enterprise Project Management Office and is expected to develop, and nurture relationships cross functionally, cross property, with organizationally aligned internal business partners and with external agencies and partners as appropriate. This role will be the administrator for real estate leases and will also manage various related construction project workstreams as needed and requested and will be adept at providing meaningful reporting to convey associated metrics.What You'll Do
Roles and responsibilities:
- Possess expert skills using tools to track the life cycle of real estate agreements
- Read and evaluate RE agreements, leases, letters of intent, etc.
- Preparation of and response to real estate request for proposals (RFP’s)
- Manage real estate renewals and lease terminations including adhering to the tenant requirements for decommissioning
- Ensure adherence to company standard lease terms to bring the best possible cost basis to the company
- Provide tracking, reporting, and managing of the on-going portfolio for the company’s Americas real estate practice
- Participate on real estate projects and successfully meet budget, scope, and schedule expectations with quality outcomes
- Author real estate project documents and lead project activities (e.g., requirements gathering, reviews, project meetings, etc.)
- Conduct meetings with stakeholders and create transparency of status, risks, and constraints
- Prepare, deliver, and disseminate reports as needed and or requested
- Manage multiple and potentially dissimilar initiatives
- Engage with project teams, business leaders and other executives
- Liaise with in-house legal, finance, sourcing, insurance, accounts payable and other teams as necessary to ensure that all aspects of the real estate transactions are properly accounted for
- Engage with landlords, real estate brokers, general contractors and others as needed in to successfully manage the requirements of the Americas real estate practice

Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in business administration, communications, project management, engineering, or related project management undergraduate course of study
- Realtor license or completion of required real estate coursework in preparation for licensure
- Certification (or near-term exam-ready) in one or more of the following: Project Management Professional (PMP®), Program Management Professional (PgMP®), or Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP®)
- Ability to read and evaluate long and complex documents
- Excellent communications skills – verbal and written
- Expert data entry skills to ensure accuracy and quality of real estate database
- Interpersonal, relationship-building and networking skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workloads
- Time management and project management skills
- Ability to draw information from various sources
- Teamwork skills and the ability to lead and motivate others
- IT skills with proficiency in the MS Office suite
- Minimum of three years project management experience
- Minimum of five years real estate management experience
- Driver’s license for property-to-property travel
- Willing to travel on project assignments, as needed (<25%)
- This role can be physically challenging and requires physical strength and stamina during site visits, audits, and punch list activities that may require long hours, and the ability to successfully conduct work in confined spaces or vastly open spaces
