The Challenge Ahead:

We are building EA’s Cloud Gaming system to run at scale. A system which is targeted to reach millions of users providing an amazing gaming experience. With our unique technology, leverage of the Public Cloud, and our amazing games, we change the industry and how games are consumed.

What you will do:

As a QA Director, your primary responsibility is to ensure our system and its capabilities are deployment ready. You apply your experience to increase efficiency by automating tests in aspects. The testing methodologies designed by your team address performance, scale, reliability, and high-end gaming experience. You communicate with many partners across the organization, provide KPIs, to ensure visibility and clarity. As a people manager, you inspire your team, grow them and maintain a high-satisfaction environment.

Responsibilities:

• You will report to the Senior Director of Technology
• Manage and track daily tasks of the QA, aligned with our priorities
• Be the quality gate-keeper for releases
• Ensure scale, performance, reliability, and user experience are addressed
• Drive testing methodologies and tools, provide frequent reporting and Measurements
• Transition toward automation testing across the system
• People management

Required Skills

• 5 or more years’ experience managing QA teams
• Manage tests of large scale systems
• Manage schedules, workplans
• Transition teams to automation
• Familiarity with Agile development processes
• Work across our organization and collaborate with other teams
• Mentor and organize teams
• 7 years’ experience as QA Engineer
• Write automation tests
• Test server based software
• Performance and scale testing
• Test video quality – significant advantage
• Other
• Experience with Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience working with QA peers across the organization
• Experience with Windows environments
• Formal education in Computer Science – advantage
• Passion for games – advantage
