Director, Product Operations

Forte is seeking an experienced Director, Product Operations to be the primary point of contact across Forte’s product teams for the Business Operations team. Your role will consist of designing, improving and leading cross-functional alignment, roadmap tracking and communication flows between Product and Business teams to maximize and drive efficiency, collaboration, and prioritization efforts. This role will be a critical partner to the Product leadership team in driving the process and cadence in which product prioritization decisions are made, tracked, and reported.
As the organization is growing rapidly through numerous partnerships, the Business Operations team aims to scale internal processes and continue its focus on operational excellence.
Examples of projects will include driving, tracking and reporting on critical partner integrations or product-feature business milestones, driving teams to hard timelines and ensuring deliverables are on track, synthesizing and communicating product roadmaps to business teams, and ultimately leading central product operations for the executive team.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently and across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and evolving environment. They will be an excellent communicator and a leader with a passion for delivering results.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the necessary systems, processes, and tools to facilitate gathering, tracking, and reporting of technical development efforts to the executive and business teams.
- Partner closely with product and technical teams to drive execution and follow-through of business-critical initiatives.
- Ensure cross-functional partners are aligned on key product objectives and deliverables.
- Identify improvements on how teams operate cross-functionally and design robust and nimble processes to increase efficiency.
- Sets the appropriate rhythm of business, standard business review formats, and communication cadence for cross-functional product teams.
- Increasing visibility into product knowledge and roadmap across the organization.
- Take pride in holding oneself and others accountable to meet deadlines and a high bar for quality.
- Prioritize and execute in the face of ambiguity.
- Recruit and hire a great product operations team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, engineering or other highly quantitative field.
- 8+ years of professional experience in Program Management, Technical Program Management, or Operations Management.
- Experience effectively collaborating with executive level cross-functional leaders and stakeholders.
- Experience managing 2+ direct reports.
- Demonstrated success in company-wide alignment and change management.
- Ability to think clearly, grasp the big picture, analyze quantitatively and problem solve.
- Ability to foster cooperation amongst business stakeholders and get things done.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present in a clear and concise manner to all levels in the company.
