Are you a technical leader with the vision and determination to help level up Wizard’s customer facing digital platform and services?
We're looking for a strong, multi-disciplinary leader to define the strategy, product roadmap, and lead their team to build and deliver a gaming platform to support Wizards’ digital ambitions. As Product Owner, this role requires orchestration and influence of both internal & external partners, driving a single vision, speaking with one voice and operating as one platform!
Day to day responsibilities for this Wizard
- Product Vision - Propose, refine and develop product vision documents for new product strategies. Document systems boundaries, conduct gap analysis and Identify, prioritize and propose updates & new capabilities and systems as required.
- Product Ecosystem - Identify gaps or conflicts in capabilities, integration points, terminology, and work across product teams to reconcile. This role will collaborate to establish the format, taxonomy and mediums for running and maintaining the official plan of record; of products available for integration and use by customers, including their state of readiness/availability for use.
- Product Success - Collaborate with initiative leaders to understand long-term strategies as well as short-term goals to shape the product vision. Help develop critical metrics for cross-domain initiatives.
Knowledge, Abilities, and Characteristics of the Ideal Wizard
- Technical Leadership - Proven leadership through multiple product cycles and across many disparate & complex technologies including high-scale, high availability production environments in cloud configurations (public, private, and hybrid). Minimum 3+ years distributed computing.
- People Leadership - with consistent track record for building, nurturing and growing multi-disciplinary teams. Motivate, energize, and develop teams to ensure that project objectives are achieved with a rigorous approach to product planning and focus on results.
- Communication & Influence - Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to business and senior executives across a wide-variety of knowledge domains. Able to influence with & without authority, fostering positive relationships within and across divisional boundaries.
- Industry Acumen - Good understanding of PC and mobile gaming industry, development, platforms, and ecosystems. History of building and managing balanced, compliant and resilient software systems.
Education and Training:
- BA/BS degree required; MS desired or equivalent year-for-year work experience
