Director, Marketing Infrastructure and Operations

EA is looking for a Director, Marketing Infrastructure and Operations, to be responsible for managing EA’s marketing technology stack that’s focused on (but not limited to) our paid media campaigns. The ideal candidate will have experience managing teams that have executed global multi-channel paid marketing campaigns for a large multi-national brand. This position will work to understand the marketers’ requirements for their campaigns and influence our systems, processes and people to execute on-time and with the highest possible quality. This role will directly manage a team of experts in engineering, platforms, trafficking and reporting, and expected to drive the overall vision for our martech stack while ensuring all aspects of campaign executions are being fulfilled as envisioned.
Responsibilities Include:
- Setting and driving the vision for our paid marketing technology stack that meets the requirements for an evolving landscape
- Managing relationships across all tech-partners and ensuring EA maintains a dynamic and future-facing tech roadmap
- Collaborating with cross-functional marketers to ensure the execution of campaigns across channels - including search, programmatic, social and mobile
- Leading marketing operations and programs for paid media, as well as supporting our subscription-related priorities
- Influencing stakeholders across EA to ensure operational excellence (from internal tech teams to media experts)
- Managing, inspiring, and growing a cross-disciplinary team to ensure world-class planning and execution across all initiatives
- Developing and enforcing best-in-class operational standards and guidelines for marketing operations
- Ensuring compliance with internal legal and procurement processes
- Driving proactive initiatives to ensure programs are properly prioritized, staffed and executed
- Developing a high caliber team of self-starters that find creative ways to optimize and problem-solve
- Managing visibility of, and setting expectations across all campaigns
Desired Skills:
- Strong leader: ability to lead and influence a variety of stakeholders
- Reliable change agent: ability to drive change via setting priorities, motivating partners and executing on commitments
- Action-oriented / self-starter: ability to identify and solve challenges with passion, energy, attention to detail, and enthusiasm to drive desired results
- Subject matter expertise in the martech space (e.g. Ad serving & tracking hubs, DCO/DCP, identity, GDPR, attribution etc.)
- Familiarity with use of audience targeting within a media environment highly desired
- Ability to design, build, and manage cross-disciplinary teams to operationally deliver digital, paid marketing campaigns
- Conceptual and strategic thinker: ability to solve marketing problems through the application of applied technology
- Ability to interpret, and apply policies and procedures and help define new procedures for emerging technologies and environments
- Familiarity with GDPR and privacy issues
- Eager to learn new technologies
- Comfortable with reporting tools, dashboards, and data visualization
- Ability to succeed in a highly matrixed organization, understand priorities, and be able to multitask
- Ability to interpret campaign strategies and goals to ensure successful delivery
- Familiarity with Agile practices desirable
- 8-10 years of martech experience is required
- Understanding of gaming industry a plus
- Formal Project or Program Management experience a plus
