Director, Learning and Development

As the Director, Learning and Development at Roblox you will be focused on building our first Learning and Development organization for the company. You will be responsible for establishing the Learning strategy for the organization, driving best practice models and building the yearly plan as well as implementing and executing the plan across the organization. We are looking for a leader who can be innovative, collaborative, with a get things done mindset and would enjoy building this new organization.
You will:
- Build and manage a small team in delivering world class learning experiences rooted in Roblox values
- Build the L&D function and define the strategy, processes and frameworks to deliver an effective L&D experience for all stakeholders
- Create the L&D plan based on needs across the organization with engineering and product as key stakeholders
- Design, develop, implement and deliver virtual, live custom content. Ensuring that learning solutions align with established budget, policies, procedures and workplace culture
- Partner with leaders to create a high performing organization
- Designs, plans and delivers engaging learning experiences for managers enabling them and their teams to move the business forward, including train the trainer type programs
- Implement various learning methods, using different mediums (self-learning, instructor led learning, supplemental materials, interactive learnings)
- Utilize existing learning modules as appropriate
- Measure and monitor of ongoing impact of learning plans
- Manage a yearly budget across all learning programs, sponsoring vendor relationships, overseeing their services and deliveries
- Report to VP, People & Culture and be a member of the People leadership team
You are:
- 10+ years of Learning and Development and experience leading, coaching and managing employees
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology/behavioral science/org development preferred
- Proven success in training content development and design
- Experience executing on vision to programs in engineering and product organizations
- Excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail, and ability to prioritize across multiple project streams
- Ability to work cross-functionally with an inclusive mindset and drive for results
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
- Systems and logical thinking mindset
- Familiarity with remote e-learning concepts and Workday Learning Management Systems is a plus
