Director, Global Mobility

PlayStation is seeking a Director, Global Mobility to develop our global relocation & assignment strategy and lead the Global Mobility Team in the design & delivery of our mobility programs, policies and processes. This role will serve as strategic consulting partner to senior business & HR leadership teams to influence & develop solutions to support their talent movement objectives and will report to the VP, Global Total Rewards & Mobility.
Responsibilities:
- Develop the Global Mobility strategy and roadmap to ensure our international assignment, immigration, relocation and tax policies and processes are aligned with the business & talent strategy, as well as focused on the employee experience
- Collaborate with the HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition and business leaders to understand the internal mobility needs of the business from a talent strategy perspective
- Develop & oversee international assignment, relocation and immigration programs, policies and processes
- Conduct regular benchmarking of our programs & practices to evaluate competitive position and alignment with defined strategy. Define & monitor key metrics to evaluate program effectiveness, highlighting trends and areas of opportunity
- Oversee life cycle processes for all relocations, international assignments, and immigration sponsorship
- Build strong partnerships within HR (Talent Acquisition, Business Partners, Compensation, Benefits, Operations) and cross-functionally with Finance, Legal and Facilities
- Manage and collaborate with our external relocation, tax and immigration vendors, ensuring an acceptable level of service is provided to the employees and the company. Manages budgets for these vendors
- Flex between execution (tactics) and strategy, as initially this will be a balancing act of helping address the growing demand for our programs while building the longer-term vision
- Partner with our internal and external legal, tax and audit teams to ensure our programs are compliant and ensure HR Leadership Team is informed of any new or potential legislative policy shifts
- Build and implement tax-efficient strategies for global mobility
- Serve as the point of contact for any special projects such as M&A or new programs
- Lead and develop a team of global mobility and immigration specialists
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or a related field or a combination of relevant experience, education, and training
- At least 10 years of professional experience in global mobility and immigration fields, including 5+ years of experience as a people manager
- Experience with managing global and domestic relocations, expatriate assignments and immigration, preferably within corporate HR
- Experience with hybrid workplace arrangements and cross-border business travel operations programs
- Experience working across internal teams including HR, Tax, Legal, Payroll and the business.
- Excellent organization, planning, and decision-making skills crucial; ability to balance needs of the business and the employees while maintaining compliance
- Strong customer service orientation and vendor management skills.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Strong multi country regulations exposure or knowledge
- Prior tax experience preferred
- Knowledge of labor law a plus
- Knowledge of expatriate compensation a plus

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

The estimated base pay range for this role is listed below.
$189,800 — $284,600 USD
