Director Global Brand Marketing, Franchise Strategy

We are seeking a Director Global Brand Marketing that will develop and drive the long-term brand vision for the expansion of legendary gaming franchises Dungeons & Dragons and Magic the Gathering across the Hasbro Blueprint. This business-critical and high-profile leadership role will partner with multiple functions globally to set, align and ensure the global roll-out of the brand strategy.

Ownership of global franchise management for D&D and Magic across the full blueprint is a key responsiblity of this role. You will set long-term content and commercial priorities in partnership with Wizards, eOne and Hasbro. You will also work with key partners from production, global/regional toy & games, licensed consumer products, location based entertainment, promotions, film & TV marketing, legal and studio leadership, to secure alignment on the vision and delivery of the strategy with cross-functional partners globally in a way that ensures brand health, growth and profitability.

What You'll Do:

• Drive global brand positioning to grow the business through the definition of broad consumer facing brand identity and tone of voice across all audience segments with a keen lens on business needs and category insights.
• Act as the key point of contact for regions to align on strategy, understanding commercial needs and ensuring teams deliver those needs.
• Use sound brand and business judgment to balance the commercial needs of the organization with the creative integrity vital to drive brand longevity and handle expectations on both sides.
• Analyze brand tracking, industry and consumer research initiatives with the consumer insights team and product leaders – always be commercially aware of brand health and performance.
• Connect all of the production and product teams to ensure all content development on critical IP elements within storytelling, scripts, series arcs, and so forth, will drive and deliver our business goals, whilst staying true to the lore and fans.
• Be a thought-leader and global brand authority, sharing knowledge to inspire and align success to deliver a full activation across the blueprint.

What You’ll Bring:

• Marketing leadership with experience on at least one major franchise in gaming and/or entertainment.
• Shown expertise in turning strategy and vision into actions that deliver on and exceed goals.
• A proven creative approach to building global brands.
• Significant experience of working with international teams, agencies and 3rd party partners.
• Strong commercial savvy, comfortable interpreting and working data; able to think big picture while remaining close to the detail.
