Director - Global Brand Management

Dreamhaven Publishing is looking for a Director of Global Brand Management & Marketing that can spearhead the formation of a world class team and discipline for our games, studios and partners. At Dreamhaven, we're building a new game company based on our shared values and relentless passion for making meaningful player experiences. This role will be at the ground floor of the Dreamhaven Publishing org formation and will be able to put their fingerprints on how brand marketing is crafted at all stages of a games lifecycle.

We're looking for an experienced marketing professional that's looking to start an adventure off the beaten path into something new. Are you someone that is excited about working on brand new games from the ground level, and equally energized by the chance to build out a team and establish best practices? Are you also someone that enjoys being part of a team but doesn't hesitate in getting into the trenches and rolling up their sleeves? The ideal candidate nerds out on crafting strategies and solving problems. A blank whiteboard is their friend and they exude passion for the formation of a creative idea born out of smart strategies and insights. They are able to combine this passion for the craft and are able to communicate marketing jargon to teams in a way that is understandable and authentic to the teams in which they work with. Lastly, the ideal candidate is able to combine their expertise in brand strategy with a thirst and passion for gaming culture that drives what we do on a daily basis.

What You Will Do

  • Establish the Dreamhaven brand operating guidelines and discipline best practices
  • Build and lead a team of brand marketers on various games and initiatives
  • Build core foundational brand strategies encompassing - research, positioning, market potential and target audience
  • Build global strategies with game teams, local partners and central publishing team
  • Partner with studio teams and external partners on various projects at different stages of development
  • Identify, RFP and Select agency partners to work with
  • Build creative campaigns & marketing programs to reach audiences globally
  • Scale strategies and plans to local regions with local agencies, partners and teams
  • Partner with growing publishing and marketing teams to build out capabilities to meet the needs of our games and potential target audiences.

What We Need

  • Have a proven track record launching various types of games from AAA blockbusters to experimental innovators
  • Diverse experience outside of gaming, entertainment and brand management is a plus
  • Experience partnering directly with studio teams as an embed or part of studio
  • A respectful voice who isn't afraid to voice their opinion but is willing to bend when needed
  • Excellent leadership skills and experience building and nurturing teams
  • Pop, Gaming & Geek Culture savant who lives and breathes the culture with passion
  • Data & Insights Informed with expertise in how to use research and analytics
  • Support and advocate diversity, equity and inclusion with proven success in promoting a inclusive environment and ensuring underrepresented groups have visibility and a voice
  • Experience working with digital marketing and open funnel marketing strategies
  • Experience working with influencers to build advocacy and trust with games
  • Expertise in community management and how to partner brand functions with community management functions
