The Director, Employee Experience and Communications creates the communications strategy and implements tactics to promote the People team’s programs, initiatives, and services across the organization. The role develops, drives, and maintains a wide variety of programs and events designed to engage, recognize, and communicate with a globally distributed team. The role also plans for and manages change management efforts, ensures alignment with organizational culture, and oversees employee engagement initiatives across the organization.
GENERAL EMPLOYEE EXPERIENCE
- Partner with VP, People to develop a consistent Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and vision for the Jam City overall employee experience.
- Partner with People Team Leadership to ensure that EVP is being applied consistently across all People functions, programs and processes.
- Lead initiatives that serve to enhance the employee experience (using innovative thinking and external best practices. Bringing Jam City to life.
- Partner with senior leadership and managers to plan and execute internal events and activities to build interpersonal connections and trust.
- Partner with key business leaders to ensure a consistent experience is delivered to all employees, worldwide.
- Identify key employee opinions and needs through the use of surveys, focus groups and other evolving and innovative methods.
- Devise a plan for continuous employee engagement through effective action planning processes that will improve quality of the employee experience.
EMPLOYEE COMMUNICATIONS
- Develop and drive communications that engage and inspire Jam City employees around the company’s mission and vision.
- Proactively identify opportunities and develop communications to convey employee value proposition to current and prospective employees.
- Prepare executive level communications materials for the VP, People, including presentations, briefs, announcements, and reports
- Serve as a trusted advisor, partner, and provide hands-on support to the leadership team on effective communication strategies and tactics to drive employee engagement and align efforts to build an inclusive and growth-minded culture.
- Develop and execute communications in support of priority programs (e.g. Diversity & Inclusion, Return-to-Workplace planning, Organizational Transition efforts, Wellness Programs, etc).
- Be the storyteller by writing and producing content across multiple channels to help employees understand what is happening within the Company and how it aligns with broader organizational goals.
- Identify the best tools and technologies to employ in support of our team communications, collaboration, and engagement, including intranet, SharePoint, blogs, videos.
- Partner closely with Communications and Marketing teams to ensure message alignment and consistency, and to generate new content ideas.
- Experiment with new, creative ways to reach employees with the news and information they care about, and drive their engagement in prioritized company initiatives.
- Partner with the Executive team to plan content for all-hands, emails, scripts and presentations internally.
