THE ROLE
The VOID is currently seeking a Digital Marketing leader for our Los Angeles, CA office. Reporting to the CMO, this role is an incredible opportunity to be at the front of an emerging market with an industry leader, creating some of the most compelling experiences alongside globally recognized entertainment studios and content creators.
As the Sr. Manager of Digital Marketing you will lead digital marketing efforts on behalf of the company building an effective strategy across web, social, mobile and earned/paid media channels to increase customer acquisition and retention. You will create a strategy that amplifies both the customer’s digital journey and engagement level with our brand and experiences. You will wear the hats of both product and project manager as you help to improve our overall digital optimization, along with leading both internal and external digital partners to successful outcomes.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Define, plan, and execute digital marketing strategies for all of The VOID’s experiences and locations that are interactive, engaging and true to our brand.
- Create, identify and execute viral, digital marketing opportunities with the goal of amplifying sales, guest acquisition, and creating brand awareness
- Quantify the success and efficiency of all digital efforts, paid media campaigns, social engagement and partnerships to improve and increase customer engagement
- Present results to internal stakeholders with quantified, industry driven metrics
- Manage, track and report on key milestones including email, social and advertising conversion rates, views, customer acquisition, campaign spend and ROI against project goals.
- Measure and analyze overall creative and campaign performance and provide insights, key learnings and future recommendations to other departments.
- Manage key relationships across internal and external partners, including media, content, studio, social media, web teams and other strategic partnerships.
- Navigate and guide digital and mobile protocols, including wire-framing, user experience design and guest interface.
- Contribute, advise and maintain timelines and deliverables on the design and creation of content for use across all digital platforms
- Have a constant finger on the pulse of the VR community and word-of-mouth analysis across industry websites, blogs, etc.
WHO YOU ARE:
- 5+ years of experience in a digital marketing role with a proven track record of positive performance
- You are a motivated, creative, and innovative self-starter who requires minimal direction
- You thrive working on a team in an exciting, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Experience in a start-up, entertainment or scrappy boutique agency preferred
- You are interested and excited by the experiential, virtual reality technology space
- Strong track record leading cross-functional teams
- Data driven, analytical mindset; experience with reporting/dashboard creation, including understanding customer behavior trends
- Highly organized; excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are a must.
- Experience in social media strategy, email campaigns and paid media planning that moves the needle
- High level of proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint/Keynote, Photoshop; comfortable using collaboration tools like Sharepointe, Dropbox, Evernote, Basecamp, etc.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
