Primary Purpose:
- Commercially focused Director supporting the global subscription services and Direct 2 Consumer (D2C) business in both financial planning and as a key business partner on all commercial propositions including PS Direct.
- Exec level business partner with Gravitas to be involved in all key business decision and meetings. Provide critique and challenge plans from D2C and services business planning team e.g., product mix, phasing, trends, etc.
- Responsible for the financial planning governance and coordination for the Global services and D2C forecast contributing to the accurate and timely production of the monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts/budgets.
- Exec reporting of global P&L actuals and flash forecasts, liaising with a variety of global stakeholders to understand and report on key variances with coherent storytelling.
- Commercial challenge and business for all promotion and investment proposals. Providing detailed and accurate modelling as well as commercial challenge.
- Return on investment for all promotion activities with recommendations for process and commercial improvements.
What you'll be doing:
- Manage all Direct 2 Consumer and Service commercial finance operations.
- Provide business partnering support to Direct 2 consumer and services commercial teams and coordinate across internal FP&A team
- Management of team of 6 and leadership across the GSBO FP&A team
- Coordinate with GSBO FPA teams to ensure consistency in assumptions.
- Manage D2C and services specific analysis, e.g. business cases and consumer investment analysis.
- Drive business results through performing what-if / scenario planning through margin
- Oversee annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and monthly flash submissions for volume, pricing, and revenue to ensure global understanding and alignment between D2C and Services.
- Coordinate with commercial partners for global planning alignment of volume, price, revenue & promotions
- Support pricing analysis, including new content, evaluation of bundle propositions, lifecycle management, etc.
- Provide insights, analytics, and commentary on standard management reports with a focus around margin analysis
What we're looking for:
- Qualified Accountant with Senior/Director experience (PQE) in an FP&A function (prior subscriptions or E-Commerce experience preferred)
- Strong financial modelling and commercial acumen with ability to evaluate financial impact of business decisions.
- Commercial acumen and gravitas with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (VBA level an advantage).
- Commercial model development preferred.
- Strong written & verbal communication skills, including the ability to present detailed analyses.
- Organised self-starter, with drive and ambition who thrives under pressure, and is capable of confidently working alongside the most senior stakeholders across the wider business.
- Attention to detail, commitment to accuracy & adherence to deadlines.
- Experience of working in a regional group headquarters.
- Experience of digital products or subscription services preferable
- Proven track record of similar roles/tasks in Global / Pan regional company in the subscription part of one of the below sectors: -
- Online services & E-commerce
- Entertainment business (Game/Film/Music)
