As the Director, Compensation you will drive the compensation programs and strategy for the global AppLovin company and subsidiaries. You bring a broad spectrum of knowledge to this position from your prior work overseeing compensation programs, total rewards philosophy, and compensation systems and tools. You have led compensation planning, market research, building total compensation ranges, strategizing and executing total compensation philosophies (cash, equity, and other incentives), and annual compensation processes. You will expertly use data and analytics to generate insights, keep abreast of market trends, and proactively identify solutions to competitively attract and retain talent, while ensuring fair and equitable outcomes.
What you'll be doing:
- Provide expert counsel in the development of a Total Rewards philosophy. Support and drive execution of variable compensation (cash, equity, and other applicable incentive plans), oversight of applicable plans/plan design & changes and effective salary planning processes.
- Develop a diverse range of compensation programs from hourly to executive/leadership compensation, including preparing executive compensation proposals.
- Plan, develop and implement new and revised compensation (with consideration of benefit programs) and internally manage the company’s equity based compensation processes in collaboration with business, cross-functional teams and internal people teams.
- Develop compensation analytics reporting and provide regular metrics accordingly.
Your background and who you are:
- B.A., MBA, B.S. Degree or equivalent years of experience.
- 12+ years of experience working with compensation and benefits planning, analysis, and administration including experience supporting a global workforce. You are familiar with the details of equity at a scaled public company, ranging from RSUs, stock options, equity management software tools, stock utilization and practices around refresh grants.

- Results oriented mentality - demonstrates high initiative and provides leadership in a project-oriented environment.
- Experience working in high growth, rapidly evolving organizations where talent attraction and retention is a top priority.
- Experience leading the design and evolution of scalable total rewards programs aligning with strategic objectives and market developments, applying a DEI lens to attract and retain a diverse and inclusive workforce.
- Experience overseeing compensation management tools and systems
- Strong analytical skills and well versed in Google Sheets, Excel, and with the ability to interpret and communicate data effectively.
- Exemplary integrity and discretion while working with confidential and sensitive information.
