Job Description

Ubisoft is currently seeking a Director of Community to lead multiple global teams and portfolios across multiple countries and studios.

The Director of Community is responsible for the overall success of our community engagement strategies, player communications, and strategic partnerships between Publishing, Production, and Ubisoft players.

He/She will provide a strong connection between the gaming community, the development team, and various internal Ubisoft teams, managing key aspects of communication, asset development and working to improve and expand the game experience.

The Director of Community will be part of the Global Community Leadership team defining the overall player engagement strategies for their portfolio. They will be in direct contact with Ubisoft Executives and Brand Directors, reporting directly to the Sr. Director, Community.

This position is European based.

Responsibilities:

• Lead an international team of Community professionals dedicated to Ubisoft AAA games and services, providing global strategic alignment, business oversite, training, and supportive leadership leading to peak team morale and performance.

• Act as liaison with Executive Publishers, Game Producers and Brand Directors to ensure community engagement strategies and roadmaps are linked to publishing campaign strategies and production content.

• Make certain there is collaboration, transparency, and consistency between Community Portfolio teams, Production, and Publishing with Ubisoft players across all public facing channels

• Collaborate with operational marketing and production teams to create global community plans for AAA titles, emphasizing strategic and performance goals, content calendars, and impactful events and activations that drive engagement and positive sentiment.

• Prepare and manage all related Community budgets and resources, ensuring that the team is properly supported to meet developer and business goals.

· Run the team efficiently, monitor team morale, conduct consistent meetings with stakeholders and partners, ensure appropriate visibility and support levels are maintained.

· Work with the Community Leadership on trainings across the division, communicating best practices and expected benchmarks, and regularly share learnings and examples with the global team.

· Partner with the Paris, San Francisco, and Cary executive management to ensure that community is represented during major production and business milestones.

· Be able to solve problems, use independent judgement, make decisions, and work in fast moving and matrixed global environment.

Qualifications

Candidates for this position should have a thorough understanding of digital marketing and contemporary gaming genres and platforms. Candidates who are creative, love games, and are comfortable with online communities and communications will likely succeed in this environment.

Skills and Knowledge

· Strong experience working in community- or communications-related fields.

· Well-versed in social media, live streaming, and digital content.

· Excellent leadership skills and proven expertise managing teams in diverse locations and dynamic environments.

· Very strong written and verbal English communications skills.

· Ability to lead a global team to prioritize tasks and deliver on time. Highly motivated and proactive, always seeking solutions to problems.

· Flexible, strives in fast changing situations and strong at multi-tasking.

· Loves and plays video games, a must.

· European based is preferred.

· French language fluency a plus.

· International travel required.
