Job Overview
As Director of Business Development at Z League, you’ll be leading growth and partnerships with some of the world’s most creative game creators and platform owners to enable compelling eSports and social experiences with Z League. Working closely with game publishers and developers, you will look for alignment across business goals, player engagement, and growth strategies - securing partnerships and deals that help players have more fun playing the games they love on Z League.
What you’ll do:
- Engage with game publishers and developers worldwide, identifying complementary partnerships with IP owners, platforms, social networks, and publishers
- Track and communicate a portfolio of title and partner opportunities in a scalable, lightweight way
- Grow our title portfolio, increasing the breadth and diversity of great games on Z League
- Deliver market insights to internal teams on compelling games, genres, and partnering models
What we’re looking for:
- Game industry experience working with game developers, publishers, platforms, middleware providers, or gaming social networks
- Proven history in deal negotiations, partnering strategy, contract development, and M&A analysis within tech and gaming companies
- Excellent communication and market analysis skills
- Strong time management skills & ability to work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment
- 5+ years business development experience

We’re a fully remote company, though ideally you’ll be working primarily in a NA time zone
