Director, Business Development

Are you ready to combine your love of video games with your love for negotiating a great development agreement? This is a rare opportunity to join the business team at a rapidly-growing premier game developer. Demiurge Studios is looking for a business-savvy industry professional to identify and cultivate new partnerships with publishers, licensors, and other developers. In collaboration with Product leadership you will drive game pitches, proposals, and manage RFPs for Demiurge's Studio.

In collaboration with Product leadership you will drive original game pitches and manage proposals for co-development projects.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the product and design teams on the creation and presentation of new game pitches
• Develop proposals and manage RFPs for Demiurge’s co-development business model
• Cultivate and maintain client relationships
• Identify and qualify new business development leads
• Manage contract negotiations and administration of co-development agreements.
• Source and negotiate new licensing agreements
• Attend conferences on behalf of Demiurge Studios

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of business development experience with a focus on the video game industry
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Existing network within the games business
• Prior experience pitching new game projects
• Demonstrated success in building and leading successful developer and license partnership programs
• Strong relationship, business development, communication, presentation, and account management skills
• Ability to travel on an as needed basis for pitch meetings, conferences, prospecting, etc.
• Exceptional written and oral communications skills including the ability to present effectively and confidently at various levels of an organization as well as communicate cross-culturally
