At EA, we exist to Inspire the World to Play. We create amazing experiences for our players everywhere and we consider our players' experiences first in everything we do. Creating transformational experiences requires constant innovation and brilliant, passionate people. We are developing extraordinary new game experiences by bringing together great people that combine creativity, technology, and expertise to provide new ways to play.

Our new game studio, composed of seasoned mobile developers, are tackling one of mobile's biggest genres with one of gaming's most powerful brands. Star Wars: Rise to Power is a 4x mobile title where all Star Wars fans can fight for their place as a Hero in the Galactic Wars, acquiring and deploying massive fleets of ships (from small stunt fighters to massive capital ships), iconic characters, and planetary bases, putting the galactic conflict directly into the Player's hands.

Our new Product Management, Data and Acquisition teams will be based in EA's headquarters in Redwood Shores, and are composed of industry and genre veterans. Our initial focus is Rise To Power, but extends to other unannounced titles.

We are looking for Data leader to help build our Analytics, BI, and Data Science teams, be a quantitative leader for the studio, and promote our data strategy across our games. You will report to our Senior Director Product Management.

Help us reimagine a Star Wars mobile product from the ground up

As part of this team, you will work in close collaboration with product management, UA, game design, UX, art, engineering and operations.

Director of Analytics and Data Science

Data is at the core of our decision-making at EA and you will be an essential contributor to the future success of our games.

As a Director of Analytics and Data Science, your first and foremost responsibility will be building and managing game analysts and data scientists for our Star Wars mobile titles in development. Your role will be to develop the talent on these teams and guide them to give an excellent, performant, mobile 4x Star Wars game (and other unannounced titles). You will provide quantitative guidance for the studio, while working with other studio leaders heads, technical leads, and designers/producers to communicate a holistic view into the health of the game and provide predictive insights to improve the product.

This is a leadership role with high visibility and your success will be predicated on the larger success of our games. As the most senior member of analytics in the studio, you will be the point person for all both studio and central leadership. Your ability to listen and reframe, to filter out the noise and pinpoint the core of a problem, and to focus resources against those issues while also communicating at the highest levels in a transparent and explanatory way will be the primary key to empowering your studios. You will also represent the quantitative perspective for our product strategy, ensuring that as we take our goal of providing unique player experiences to everyone to scale that we’re doing so in a thoughtful, measurable way.

Data leadership in the studio is a partner with an equal seat at the table, not a service organization. A role of this importance is expected to push beyond the scope of a traditional analytics position; you will collaborate with your creative teammates in Product and Design, while providing a quantitative perspective. Being able to manage short term analytical priorities while still focusing on the long term vision of the game is essential to bridging the gap between the creative side of game design and the hard math of live ops.
