Digital Product Manager

We are seeking a results-oriented, imaginative, and intellectually curious Digital Product Manager who embodies the principles of continuous iteration and data-informed design. You thrive in an environment of collaboration, mutual respect, and straightforward communication and you have the right mix of passion for games and game economies, interest in how things work, and experience in a high-tech, creative environment.
In this role, you ideate with leadership on content, then build and execute accurately. After execution, you will monitor data on the live environment to recommend improvements to the game’s KPIs and quality of play experiences. You will work with teams across the company to foster data driven methodology for one of the most revered game franchises around the globe and advocate for the products we build to keep our games healthy and growing.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in:
- Building content and/or measuring online free-to-play games.
- A strong understanding of Monetization, Engagement, and Retention strategies.
- Being the voice of the player balanced alongside practical data comparisons.
- Working with multiple subject areas to deliver specs that drive core business goals.
What you'll do:
- Conceptualize content that meets leadership goals while maintaining strong player experiences.
- Manage the details of content flows to maintain high-quality content within structured timelines.
- Collaborate on outstanding, one of a kind, features that leverage the design space of Magic the Gathering.
- Utilize honed design knowledge to find additional fun concepts inherent to Arena’s event offerings.
- Own and drive implementation of features in pair with Production.
- Analyze live data to identify weaknesses, opportunities, and build recommendations that iterate on the success of the product.
- Supervise performance daily, communicate results to internal and external partners.
What you'll bring:
- BA/BS degree in Math, Economics, Computer Science or other quantitative field.
- 2+ years working in a Product Manager or Analyst capacity supporting AAA products.
- Successfully shipped a high performing digital game.
- Experienced at developing and assessing game systems on digital games.
- Passion for finding what’s fun for a range of player types.
- Strong attention to detail and strategic level thinking as well as strong modeling skills and Excel expertise
- Understanding of SQL and ability to build queries that extract required data for analysis
- Strong ability to think through and communicate sophisticated concepts verbally and in writing and a proven track record in a team environment
- Comfortable with uncertainty and navigating shifting requirements
- Passionate about card games. Actively plays comparable products to understand the market
